Just to give you an idea of what I do ...
Since I can remember, I have cultivated my two passions - moving image as art practice and mental health. I trained as a Mental Health Nurse in Switzeland and I have been working in the field in many different incarnations since 1990. I moved to England in 1998 from Italy. I finished my Fine Art BA at Central Saint Martins in 2003. My practice, until now, has consisted mainly of video, with some incursions into photography and various forms of digital media. Lately, I have started a research project at the University of Westmonster with the provisional title "Complicity in Mediated Presence - Using the video camera as a performing tool and interface for a personal relationship with the viewer". Yes, a bit clumsy, but at the moment it works for me. (It might actually stay till the end ... I keep coming back to it!)
I have decided to take on coordinating the functional element of self-representation in the same spirit of discovery and there are many aspects of CP I need to explore as I contribute to the questions of how to represent the organisation ... but, again, this is true research! My experience with CP will also form an important part of my research project.
Here is a (not so) recently published interview, so the you can see where I am coming from!
