The name Critical Practice was thought to be a good way to communicate the ambitions of the project. It is not intended as a definition of critical practice but to promote the ambition and discipline of putting critical theory into practice. Its got something to do with the role art plays in social and cultural development, and alot to do with the instrumentalisation of art and the professionalisation of artists.
