Critical Practice Publication





The new Publication Working Group - part of Self Representation is working towards the 1st Critical Practice publication which will take the form of a A5 pamphlet to be produced on a yearly/18th month basis.


Play is an essay from the publication, an open conversation and a growing bibliography.

Proposed M6DIII - Off Season project

Critical Practitioner Robin connects with the M6DIII artist network in following an invitation by Cyprus based artist group EMAA to research (and re-appropriate the form of) a tourist guide from 8.-20.October 2007 in Cyprus.

'Between' with O+I

Zehar magazine

  • We were invited to submit a text for a special issue of Zehar Magazine entitled "The Open School" to be published as part of Documenta 12; several of us collaborated on writing an article which responded to questions the magazine put to us.
  • Atelier Trans-Pal

    Atelier Trans-Pal [ATP] a project by Stephan Shankland, is to be installed on the parade ground at Chelsea College of Art. Critical Practive and Stefanie Bourne of ATP are collaborating to develop a protocol - a sort of framework - for collective exchange during the Critical Practice workshop on the 1st November during the ATP residency

  • Collide/Collabo was an invitation by graduating students to take part in a week of seminars, workshops and events as part of their final degree show exhibition........
  • Open Congress at Tate Britain

  • Open Congress was inspired by Free Software.
  • Software that challenges conventional practices of authorship, ownership and distribution. Our innovative congress explored the implications of those developments for art, visual culture and cultural production in general
  • We produced - with www.nodel.org - NODE.London - and Arts Council funding- an Open Congress Reader
