Systems: Art and Collaboration

Please see invitation for details of Critical Practice's engagement with 'Systems Art' at the Whitechapel 26 - 27 October 2007.

The Working Group members for the meeting are: Robin Bhattacharya, Neil Cummings, Ian Drysdale (minutes), Mary Anne Francis, Trevor Giles, Al Page, Tom Trevatt, and Manuela Zechner

With thanks to Wayne Clements, Cinzia Cremona, Rob Dingle, and Neal White for help along the way.

See www.systemsart.org for more details of the symposium.

If you have agreed to take part in this event - there are a series of questions designed to generate debate. Feel free to add your own and / or engage with just those that seem useful. See: Questions for the debate where you can either edit the page or leave comments - or both!

Probably, the most important question is something along the lines of 'how useful is the concept and term 'system' to Critical Practice? If not 'system', might we prefer other terms e.g. 'method' or 'ecology'?

There is also a page on the symposium website for others to discuss - if they don't want to sign up to the CP site - http://discussion.systemsart.org/
