Consummation and Social Media

The consummation of the self occurs through another (an other), specifically the other seeing the the self as a "you". So the question becomes: Do I need to see you see me to experience consummation? What are the limits of this self? Can the self be projected, for example, through some kind of utterance online? Am I, for example, consummated when someone reads this post? How do I know if this post is ever read and does this matter? Is it simply the possibility it could be read that's significant?
