Update: The Ecoes project is developing thick and fast through both online and offline dialogue. Reflections on the first reading group meeting: Regrettably, not everyone was available to meet in skype for our first reading group meeting last Monday night and so we opted for an email discussion instead. This process worked quite well with several members experimenting with fonts and colours to distinguish their utterances. Marsha: Personally, I appreciate having our initial observations inscribed as written texts. With this said, I think we could press the discussion further--we could clarify and deepen our understanding--through discussing it in real time as well. More on this over the next few days. footage: Jem has now digitized all the video footage from the Market of Ideas. Marsha is currently reviewing the audio from the Market of Ideas and the all CP workshop proposal: Jem's proposal of a discussion panel for Network of Design 2008 (University College Falmouth, September 3-6, 2008) has been accepted. This will also be an opportunity to show a collectively edited video of the Market of Ideas. Action Points 1. Marsha will compile a bibliography for the reading group 2. Write 100 words about of how we got here: Our story 3. Write an account, including one's impulses: Corrado wants to get into your head--it's a love in 4. Jem to organize presentation technology with Falmouth 5. Cinzia to "assemble" clips on a DVD (1) with a complex menu and (2) with a simple menu 6. We will our clips to Cinzia by August 21st 7. Peer review will be an ongoing process
