Talk:Introduction
From Critical Practice Chelsea
After a brief discussion at the meeting of the working group for Disclosures 03 03 08 (minutes here), we have decided to reflect on how to represent CP in this framework. We appear to have two suggestions:
- All members of CP attending Disclosure to appear on 'stage' and share the 30 minutes time for the presentation
Advantages:
We will be visible as a 'plurality', disrupting the conference-format canon of having one or two individuals standing in for a collective. We could be seen, as well as heard, as a cluster of multiple voices.
Disadvantages?
Not sure......
- No one from CP goes on 'stage' and we speak from our sits in the audience.
Advantages:
We will disrupt the separation between audience and speakers.
Disadvantages:
We will NOT be visible.
I personally favour option 1 and propose to start thinking about who might be contributing what.
I am happy to talk (very briefly!) about coming into CP when it was already formed.
Who might speak about organising Open Congress? And how CP was formed after it?

Developments
At the Pre ResourceCamp resourceCamp meeting on 20/03/08, we came to a decision: on Neil's suggestion, the Self Representation working group, namely Trevor and Cinzia, will be on stage representing and 'bridging' with the audience area, where the other members of CP will speak from the floor.
