Talk, and I shall answer ...

I WANTED TO KEEP A HISTORICAL TRACE OF MY EARLIER DESCRIPTION OF MYSELF WITHIN CP, AND THIS SEEMED THE RIGHT PLACE ...

I moved to England in 1998 from Italy. I finished my Fine Art BA at Central Saint Martins in 2003. My practice, until now, has consisted mainly of video, with some incursions into photography and various forms of digital media. I am developing a practice based PhD at University of Westminster with the provisional title "Complicity in Mediated Presence - Video camera as interface for a personal relationship". Yes, a bit clumsy, but it is just a working title.

I have been coordinating the Social Relations functional element and working group since January 2007, mainly focusing on the question of how to represent ourselves and how to collaborate/interact with other cultural entities. My experience with CP continues to change my practice, research and thinking in unexpected ways.

Here is a (not so) recently published interview, so the you can see where I am coming from.

Feel free to contact me at cinziacremona (all one word) at google mail dot com.

Reimbursed ?

As the presently active CPers have agreed at the last meeting ( minutes here) to support me in exchange for some coordinating functions, here is a list of what I might be expected to do.
Please edit before 27th February.

  • Set up a bank account. {I did try, but the structure of CP didn't please the Cooperative Bank, and I failed!}
  • Coordinate the budget and the account, e.g. be key contact for the account, check statements, etc. {I did for a bit, but PARADE required someone with access to Chelsea's infrastructure and I escaped ...}
  • Keep the Main Page and Housekeeping pages updated {I might return to this ...}
  • Coordinate communications - making sure that all involved are reached, remind of deadlines, etc.
  • Take major role in coordinating funding applications
  • Dedicate at least half day a week to these functions between now and the end of June. {YEP, this happened!}

This does not mean that I shall stop engaging in less quantifiable and nameable functions.
